The Origin: From Google One Frustration to a Personal AI Workstation
Like so many people building with AI today, I was finding it increasingly frustrating to keep track of this rapidly growing ecosystem. Tools were launching every morning, models were being renamed overnight, and pricing tiers were constantly shifting.
The catalyst happened right in my own workflow: I was paying for a Google One AI subscription, yet I found it surprisingly difficult to track, access, and actually get full value from everything bundled inside it. Between Gemini Advanced, Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM), Imagen 3, Google Vids, Flow video credits, AI Studio developer perks, and the Antigravity agent IDE, everything was scattered across different URLs and documentation portals.
To solve this for myself, I created a clean personal dashboard called G1Sub to index every single Google AI service, feature tier, and launch link in one place.
Realising the Whole Ecosystem Needed the Same Clarity
Within a couple of weeks, I realised the exact same problem was true for the broader landscape. How does Claude 3.5 Sonnet compare to DeepSeek R1 and OpenAI o1? Keeping up with change and having it all organized in one verified directory became an indispensable daily resource that I personally used every morning while working.
That is when I thought: if this saves me hours of headache every week, other developers, creators, researchers, and builders might benefit from it too.
